Do you feel safe traveling on your own?

Good evening, folks. I plan traveling to China with my husband. I dont want to book some organized tours; wed like to explore Beijing ourselves. I wonder whether it is safe to travel on your own, especially in Asia. Id like to hear some opinions, especially from those who experienced it. Thanks.

Hello. I think that you neednt worry really. My husband and I have been traveling on our own for several years and we havent experienced any inconveniences. And we visited China also on our own. We were there 10 months ago. Youll see that the Chinese are very polite and patient in communication with foreigners. Try to find younger people to ask something that you need, because they know English, unlike older ones. It would be good for you to learn some basic phrases in Chinese. I think that you will be perfectly safe; especially youre traveling with your husband. Of course, you can pay attention to your valets, because there are some burglars. But they are spread all over the world. China isnt exception.
