Good evening, all. I'm a businessman who travels a lot by plane. Now I upgraded my business and intend to do lots of continental flights. I wonder if I reach 100k miles on Continental OnePass, if I get my status upgraded, also. Do I get some elite status? What is airlines politics considering this question?
Hello to you to. I also upgraded my business and that meant increasing my continental flights. Airlines don't easily give elite status for a lifetime, because then people often join other companies. They loose a lot of customers when they hit 75K. They think it's better to give bonus miles and upgrades during the year. They think that customers value that. They are still searching into giving some benefits to their customers who traveled lot of miles. It depends which company you had in mind to travel with. It would be good that you ask several companies and see what benefits there are. And, of course, what benefits will be the most suitable for you. Bye!
