Formal wear on cruise ships

I have booked a Celebrity cruise and am about to set off these days so I started thinking on what to pack and am curious since the Celebrity is a luxury cruise lien and my ship has got some dress code as I recall it and there are also casinos so what about clothes there. I mean am I allowed formal wear on cruise ships or what?

Sure you are allowed formal wearing for you know those cruises are about getting relaxed or it is that way the way I see it at least. But still while on Celebrity there is some dress code you will have to respect and that means you are not allowed being in swim suite while in dinning room and not to mention n the casino you better make sure you bring at least one suite for the Celebrity ships are famous for their professionally organized evening parties so it is not like you could wear t-shirt and shorts on these parties. And yet again it still doesnt mean you should get over packed for it is not like you will need that much clothes there-maybe just a suite or two for these evening parties and the rest of the time is reserved for formal wear opts.
