Japan is, in my humble opinion, one of the most fascinating countries. Thats why Im looking forward to my business trip to Tokyo. But I dont intend to back home without visiting several other cities and regions. Kyoto will be the first on the list after Tokyo. I need some info about the hotels there. Just one more thing: is it true that there are earthquakes on almost daily basis there?

Yes, Japan is in many respects an amazing country. I was astounded by the mentality of Japanese people, their discipline and good manners. You shouldnt worry about earthquakes, which are very frequent there due to geological structures, because the Japanese have developed various measures of precaution for these occasions. Buildings there are constructed so that they are resistant to earthquakes up to a certain size. Id suggest you to stay at the Westin Miyako Kyoto hotel. Its a luxurious building with a panoramic view over the city and surrounding mountains. Among its amenities are Zen garden, tennis courts, a swimming pool and restaurants offering cuisines from the whole world, including traditional Eastern and European.
