Would you recommend Playa del Carmen in October?

Hello, good people. My wife wants us to go to Mexico for our vacation in October. She recommended me Playa del Carmen. I have never heard about the place, although it sounds a little familiar to me. Have you heard about it? It would be better if you were there earlier. Thanks for your help.

Howdy, there. Well this little fishermen village became popular several years ago. I think it was in 2005. In that year a hurricane called Wilma stroked this little place. In fact, October in this place belongs to hurricane season. And it also belongs to the rainy season. Since 2005 you have annual gathering of those who want to mark the date when Wilma happened. I think it is in the second half of the month. October is very unpredictable when it comes to weather. I hope youll have a good weather there.
