Hello. Im going to Canada this summer and I plan to make a tour of several big Canadian cities. What can I expect from my visit to Calgary in June? I know that this city hosted the Winter Olympics some twenty years ago but I dont know if it is an attractive destination during summertime. Can you also tell me something about interesting places there and everything I should see?

Its true that Calgary is basically a city which attracts tourists during winter. As you already said, it hosted the Winter Olympics which means that it has plenty of facilities for winter sports. But, in my opinion its also a fine location to be visited during summer. The climate is pleasant though a bit cooler than in other regions. There are several parks in Calgary, such as Fish Creek Provincial Park where you can camp, see the wildlife common to Canada and even swim in an artificial lake. You can also visit Calgary Zoo and Chinatown district. Downtown is full of shopping places, restaurants and clubs. This especially goes for the 17th Avenue with its vibrant nightlife. Calgary has one of the most beautiful and distinguished skylines in the world.
