Heres my problem: my parents are coming to visit me next month and they plan to stay for a few weeks. Dont get me wrong, but these visits can be a big nuisance and Ive made a clever plan to surprise them with a Hawaiian holiday! Is the Big Island an appropriate place for an elderly couple or should I pick some other resort?

Its a great idea, I must admit. I think Ill reach out for the same solution next time my old folks officially announce their visit. The Big Island is, as you know, famous for its still active volcanoes and it is exciting to watch lava meeting the ocean. Maybe you should reconsider that part of your plan and send your parents to another Hawaiian island, because this one is more for adventurous people who want to get their adrenaline going. I think that the most appropriate location for your parents would be the island of Maui. There is located Fleming Beach which is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in America.
