My first free week this year is in October and my wife wants us to go to Morocco. I cant stand heat and hot weather and Im trying to persuade her to spend our vacation at a place with a milder climate, such as Switzerland, but she insists that temperatures most certainly drop in October. Whos right and whos wrong in this situation?

Sorry, but your wife is right on this one. Moroccos climate is moderate towards subtropical. This generally means that air humidity is low and thus when temepratures are extremely high you dont perceive them as such. For example, when its 50 C, youll be under the impression that it is actually 30 C. Bear in mind that air is cooled by breezes blowing from the Atlantic Ocean. Besides, temperatures do drop during fall months and the lowest average temeprature is 11 C and the highest average temperature is about 25 C in October. So, its just waht you want a milder climate, and still youll have the opportunity to swim in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
