a few questions about Etiopia

I am traveling to Addis Abbaba tomorrow morning and it would be a short business trip but it is just that I would be having a day free and I was thinking of visiting some other interesting places regarding Etiopia and that is why I need answers on a few questions about Etiopia regarding the security there at first place and the travel means â€“how they work. Thanks!

I visited Ethiopia last year and I stayed at Addis Abbaba and though I could never live there it was great visiting such country and yet I never guess that the people there could be so gentle and kind â€“I was very well welcomed and even stayed in touch with an Etiopian. But despite all this if I were you I would never go on the borders with Sudan, Kenya or Somalia for there are still occasional ethnic tensions especially on the west of the country. Anyway I have managed to visit Gondar a little place near lake Tana and I had a great time though there is still no developed tourist infrastructure I still enjoyed my bus ride up to the lake and I was enthusiastic by the nature and the desert and though I was invited to a safari I havenâ€™t managed to experience one so maybe if you have time try to have one.
