In a month, I am taking my first visit to Ireland. I’m starting with a visit to capitol, Dublin. I’m excited over seeing all historical heritage it offers – castles and churches from centuries ago. I already planned almost the whole trip. Writers Museum is absolute must see, and Trinity College Library as well. I was reading about Book of Kells and the idea of seeing a piece of art, a book more than 1200 years old, fascinate me. I’m planning to see old castles, and as I read, there are plenty of them. This is the home of Vikings, so one should expect such things. Now, I also plan to see Belfast. There are some friends of mine I met online, and now’s a chance to meet them. I’m not very successful in finding means of transportation between the two cities on-line. Therefore, if anyone has some useful experience or pointers, I would highly appreciate it!

| I visited Ireland years ago, so I can only speak in general terms. Still, I might give you an idea what to do, so you can explore further, before you go there (I see you tend to plan things up). One mean of transportation to consider is a train. It goes from Dublin to Belfast very often (every hour, until 9 pm). The cheaper option is to get a bus to Belfast. It also goes very often (an hour between two lines). While you are in Ireland, don’t forget to enjoy the outdoors. I mean, the history and literature are high priorities when visiting such old land, but the Irish outdoors is breathtaking. Kind regards. |
