My girlfriend and I are celebrating our first anniversary next month, and I thought the best gift for us both would be spending a romantic weekend in the most romantic city in the world Paris. I would like our accommodation to be in the oldest part of the city - Latin Quarter, so I could use a hint on good hotels in this area. Many thanks.

Hey there. I went to Paris last week, and I stayed in Suede Saint Germain Hotel in Latin Quarter and was very satisfied with accommodation and the service. It is a three star hotel, located on the left bank in the very middle of all those old little streets there. It is stylish, and completely charming, I think your girlfriend might like it. It is very close to Saint-Germain-des-Prs Boulevard, and the left bank stores are not far either. Anyway, I think that visiting Paris is a wonderful idea for celebrating anniversary; especially the first one having in mind French wine, you two will have time of your life.
