Where can I rent a car in Izmir? Turkey is a beautiful country and I plan to see all its main attractions so instead of waiting for buses and trains I think that it would be best to have a car of my own so that I can go wherever I want and whenever I want. I just hope that they offer some good cars and not some wrecks.

I think that you won’t have any problem because Izmir is a big city and there are all the necessary services including rent-a-car. I completely agree with you that this is the easiest way to organize your trip and not to depend on any other factors when it comes to traveling. But I advise you to look into Turkish traffic regulations because sometimes those differ from country to country. What I know for sure is that you can rent a car at the airport. I don’t know what company that is, maybe even AVIS because they usually have branches at the airport. Make sure that the car you choose has car insurance, just in case.
