Does the Caen Memorial give a good overview of the Battle for Normandy?

Hello! I hope theres someone who can tell me if it is worth visiting the Caen Memorial to get a good idea of the battle for Normandy. I am going to be in the area next week, and a friend of mine told me about the Memorial, as he was planning to go there but didnt get the chance in the end. So I hope to get a better idea of what it is like from you guys! Thanks!

If you only have time to visit one of the museums I would definitely recommend you this one. It gives you a completely overview of the battle, completely with many relics as well as maps, etc certainly worth seeing! It is easy to reach by car, and when I went they also did organized minibus trips, so get yourself some info about that if you dont drive.
