Hello, I heard a lot of stories about Kyoto. From what I have seen in photographs it truly offers spectacular sightseeing. I was especially driven to the many Japanese like hotels that I find very romantic in the Asian kind of way. My girlfriend isn't much of a Japan lover but I am sure that I will be able to change her mind and make her enjoy the trip.

Hello, Kyoto is indeed a fascinating place offering you a vast specter of intriguing possibilities to see and enjoy. It is mainly important to see it because of it's long history, where many great Japanese leaders have reigned from the Heian to the Edo period of Tokugawa clan. As a result, today there can be seen some of the most spectacular architectural works ever. The Japanese classic style hotels are called Ryokan and can be found everywhere around Kyoto. The best ones are near peaceful lakes with a breath taking view of the surrounding mountains. Kyoto is also very well known for it's old Shinto and Buddhist monasteries that will give you a chance to enter another world as you walk in, surrounding you with a sweet and overwhelming odor of incense, light and calmness. If you happen to visit Kyoto during the spring time don't miss the cherry blossoms which are considered to be a symbol of Japan.
