Hi, my friend will be going to New York and she is so excited. She has never been to NYC before and would like to see all the attractions of the city. Shes an absolute beginner and the moment she arrives at JFK airport she planned to head out to Times Square. She told me that she has no idea whats the best way to get there from the airport meaning which transport is best to use?

Hello, everybody wants to head out straight to times square and I cant blame them cause thats where the action is. So lets get to the point . Transport in NYC, anyone will tell you, is pretty bad. On the other hand you can always get a cab, this is the expensive way of dealing with your situation. Cabs, especially the ones waiting outside the airport doors eager to grab your luggage like its made out of solid gold, are usually the priciest ones. When they see a newcomer, and theyve got a great sense for that kind of thing, theyll try just about every prank they can think of in order to get you to pay for whats on the meter. The infamous but inexpensive way is to go on a bus from the airport and than go a few blocks on the metro. This way youll really save up but it will take you much longer to get there. If youre in no hurry this is the way to go.
