Hi, Im going to NYC with my friends in a week and since well be coming by car Im a little frightened as to how will it be like driving out there. NYC is huge and we come from a relatively small place so Im not used to all that horrifying traffic. So Im wondering how are the drivers out there do they follow traffic regulations? I hope that Ill manage to get around. Is it complicated to get around the city by car?

Hi, youve got every right to be a little scared cause NYC drivers are a bit notorious. Ive got so many years of NYC driving experience that I got used to the outrageous traffic. But driving is a piece of cake if you consider how difficult it is finding a good parking space in NYC. There are a lot of places where you will think its absolutely appropriate to park your car but later on you might find yourself with a ticket or even worse you might get towed. Getting towed is something you wouldnt want happening to you especially not in NYC. The whole procedure can last as long as two to three days. I would absolutely recommend leaving your car in one of many parking lots that NYC has. If you dont need to go by car it is better that you go on foot. This way youll be out of risk of getting into any unpleasant situations and youll get to experience the true spirit of the city. Me being a New Yorker wouldnt want visitors to think of us as hard to handle.
