I will visit Egypt this summer and am curious do I need to get some vaccine for malaria and dengue fever especially regarding the fact that I would also be having Nile Cruise all the way to Luxor. Anyway I am about to set off for Egypt by the end of June and though it is the hottest period there in Egypt at this time I wonder if I need to have this vaccines for malaria and dengue fever.
No I don’t think you will have vaccine for malaria and dengue fever for going in Egypt. Actually no vaccinations are needed for Egypt maybe some vaccines for typhoid and hepatitis A are sometimes required so you discuss this with your doc about 2 or 3 weeks before you reach Egypt. And as for malaria you just take care of having those mosquitoes cream and nets with yourself and as for the vaccine for dengue fever there are usually recommended for those south eastern Asia countries. Anyway if you plan on having some dengue fever vaccine such as Dembarah 200 than this vaccine would prevent you also from West Nile Fever –I am telling you this for you plan on having this Nile cruise so maybe regarding this fact you may further discuss this dengue fever vaccine with your doc.
