Do you like Izmir? My husband wants us to go there for our holiday and for some reason I don’t like those Oriental countries so I disagree. But he insists and I don’t want to be a grumpy woman so I want to hear about your experiences and impressions form this city because maybe I’m just prejudiced and not well-informed. Thanks in advance!

I’m also not very fond of Oriental and Middle East countries but Turkey is something else because it is on one side in the Europe and on the other in Asia so this blend creates a perfect atmosphere and fusion of various traditions and cultures. Izmir is a big city on the coast of the Aegean Sea and it is a very large port and an attractive tourist destination. It is very urban city and one of the most populous in Turkey. My answer would be: yes, I like Izmir and I advise you to accept your husband’s idea and have a great time. After just one sip of the coffee at Pasaprot Quay you’ll love this city. There are numerous ancient remains and archeological sites that you can visit.
