Surfing is my favorite activity. I travel around the world in search of the best waves. Ive been to Hawaii, Mexico, LA and now Ive come to Australia. I know that there are great places for surfing and only recently a fellow surfer told me to go to Byron Bay because he had a great time there. Im in Sydney and I have no idea where that place is and how to get there. Some help, please. Thanks.

I dont know about surfing but Byron Cape is one of the best places for chillin out. Imagine a place without skyscrapers and traffic lights! Everything is slow paced and relaxed there. Various spas and other facilities for wellbeing of your body and soul are all around. There are more than 30 kilometers of beaches, and I believe that at least few of them have good conditions for surfing. This place is some 800 kilometers away from Sydney, and you can catch a plane, go there and check it for yourself. There are rainforests in the area, as well as a marine park where you can see a wide variety of dangerous and attractive sea creatures. And if this name does ring a bell, its because the place was named after Lord Byrons grandfather!
