What is the first thing you notice in a hotel room?

I often travel because of my job. I am a freelance journalist. Everytime when I am assigned some story I need to go to that place. When I am covering my assignement I think only of that. I dont need to tell you how much hotels room I have been in. I always notice only the bed since I only sleep there. What is the first thing you notice in a hotel room?

Wow. I would like to have your job. I dont have so much experience with hotel rooms. When on vacation on the seaside I notice the position of the room because I like to sleep longer and dont like the sun waking me up. On the other hand when I am on mountain I like exactly that. Other things I notice are the clean sheets and the bathroom. I dont like hotels where the service is not proper and those that are far away from the places I plan to see.
