Im planning a small-ship expedition to Antarctica. What is your opinion about that? Has anyone of you done it and how has it been? My parents and girlfriend are very worried and they try to talk me out of the idea, but I like adventures and Im determined to id, one way or another. I dont think its dangerous if you have a modern ship and enough skills.

Well, youre wrong. It takes more than that. One of the basic ingredients is experience and I think youre too young for such an adventure. It can be very dangerous, because Antarctica is one of the most hostile environments on the planet. If you want to explore it, apply for one of the expeditions and youll have to undergo a serious training and education in order to get there. Youll also have to undergo a thorough medical examination because harsh conditions there are not suitable for everybody. I dont know why you have chosen this part of the world and I really think that your parents and girlfriend are worried with a good reason. Reconsider you decision.
