Is it good idea to travel to Syria in summer?

Hi,
I have been considering a trip this summer. i was wondering where to go and since I always wanted to see Damask, I was wondering whether it would be a good idea since it is during the summer that I could take this trip. Is it wise to travel to Syria during summer?

hello,
I love Syria. I really think it is a wonderful country. I have been traveling there for 3 years now. I am not sure whether the summer is good idea since it is really really hot in Syria in summer. Still, the air dry and it is not that hard to function. I think that if this is the only time you could make it, it wouldn't be that much of a problem.
