Need information on Phnom Penh Budget Accommodation

I am a back packer from Europe. Currently I am in Bangkok, in Thailand of course and after travelling around the country I would like to cross over to Camodia and see Phnom Penh, which I have heard is rather interesting. As you will understand I am on a budget and would like information around some cheap accommodation out there. Anyone?

Sure. The best thing you can do is to look around the river, where you will also find many restaurants and cafes. This is the most touristy area in the city, and around this part many guest houses have sprang up, most of excellent quality and often run by foreigners. You can get a room there for already $3 a night.
