I am always saying that the best way to learn some other language is to head straight to that country. So, since I like traveling a lot, I have been learning French (been to France 5 times) and Spanish (Central America is like my second home). So, what are your experiences with learning languages in this way?
I think you are absolutely right. And more time you spend somewhere, you will have more chance to learn the language more easily. I had similar experience, but only once. I went with my Italian class to Rome and we have been there for two weeks. Of course, speaking Italian in Italy and in class are two completely different things
