What are the best beach hotels in Puerta Vallarta?

Me and the family are intending a trip to Mexico this summer and we think that we will go for Puerto Vallarta. At least it looks nice in the pictures. Are there people who have been there already, who are active on this website? If so, could you please recommend me which are the best beach hotels over there?

We stayed at the Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa only recently and I loved everything about it. The location was great, and only about 20 metres away from the sea front! I think the hotel is especially wonderful for couples who want to stay in a romantic hotels. The rooms were very much to my liking and the bathroom was huge.
