Question about visiting Easter Island?

We are going to head for South America - my boyfriend and I - and will spend a whole month over there, just travelling and enjoying ourselves and each other of course. We need as much info we can get to decide where to spend how much time... One place I have always found fascinating is Easter Island. Can we go there?

Yes, you can. But be aware that the island and its ecosystems are under heavy threat, and while the place is extremely interesting for tourists I think that they do more harm than good by going there quite frankly. You should consider giving it a miss. After all you don't want to place to turn into another Cancun and loose all of its historical value, right?
