Is France summer or winter destination?

My parents are persuading me to go to Europe. They say that it is something a bit different from all those resorts I have been staying at for the past several years. And I suppose the best country to start exploring Europe is France. So, is it a summer or a winter destination?

I think that France is an excellent destination, no matter when you go there. France has really excellent beach and summer resorts, just think of French Riviera and St. Tropez! But that is not the entire picture. Paris itself is one of the best and most attractive tourist destinations in the world. I would recommend you to go there first, if you haven't been to France before.
