| Is there anyone who has some great experience with going on a family vacation to Portugal, because I would be more than glad to hear a suggestion on the exact destination. My family insists on spending at least a week there, but we don't seem to be able to reach some sort of agreement on where we should go. |

Have you thought of Azores?
It is some 900 miles from Lisbon, and is becoming more and more popular destination for family vacations, and there are some great family hotels.
I am telling you this because last year I spent two weeks there with my family and my kids loved it. There are many activities which are equally interesting for kids and their parents, such as whale watching, and exploring volcanic lakes. Or even going to see a waterfall.

I would suggest Madeira although you have to get to Lisbon airport first and then go to Madeira |
