Hello. Im from the United States. I plan on going to Bangladesh for a research. Ill be staying there for two months at least, but I dont know if I need visa. And if I do, can I get more than a 30 day visa? Does someone know the cost of getting their visa?

Of course you will get more than a 30 day visa in Bangladesh. You will be given at least three months visa. Later, if needed, you can extend after arrival in Bangladesh. It is better that you contact the Embassy of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh in Washington. They will give you specific details. I think that youll need non-immigrant visa. Im not sure, but I think it is up to 50 $. Be sure that you check your passport. It must be valid for at least 6 months. You should also ask what kind of immunization you need before going to Bangladesh.
