Hello! A friend of mine is trying to persuade me not to take a long rail trip through Africa because something dangerous might happen to me I think she's a bit paranoid so I need more arguments to prove that she's wrong. Hope I'm not bothering you too much. Any idea would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

Hi! It really depends which part of Africa are you visiting. I wouldnt recommend you to try through Sudan, not for your security sake, but because of irregular heat, train travels through dessert most of the time. On the other side of the continent the story is quite different. If you can afford it try the Rovos train, the most luxurious train there is.
