getting from Cuzco and Puno-what are the options?

I have booked a holiday in Cuzco several weeks ago. However, I would like to visit some other places as well. On of these is Puno. I would like to know what are the options of going there from Cuzco, and what is the best way of these available. Any suggestion will be useful. Thanks in advance.

Puno is not too far from Cuzco, around 250 miles. There are all means of transport available. You can travel by bus, train or plane. There are several flights every day. You will need around 45 minutes up to 2 hours, depending on whether the plane will go via Arequipa making the flight time about 2 hours. If you want to take a bus, there are also many of them going every day. You will need 8 hours, but the trip itself is fantastic, because you get to see all the places on the way you probably would not otherwise. Also, the prices are very low, and some 10$ on the average.
Trains are available too, and they depart daily, but you have to make a reservation one day ahead. The trip lasts a little shorter than by bus. In my opinion, the train is best if you are not in a hurry. Otherwise, take the plane.
