The only people who can regularly enter for free are: young aged 18 and younger (children under 12 should be accompanied by adults), ICOM Members and holders of Euro<26 youth card. The museum is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 8 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 9 pm and Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 8 pm.
Yes, it is true. Every month, last Sunday from 3 pm the entrance is free for everybody. Regular admission fees are for permanent collection: 6.00 €, for temporary exhibitions: 4.50 € and combined ticket: 8.00 €. There are also reduced fees (50%) for visitors over 65, students under 26 with valid identification and groups of more than 20 people (by appointment).
I am not sure about the art students, but there are different entrance fees and discounts for various groups of visitors. For instance, Picasso Museum in Malaga has permanent and temporary collections and the fees are different for each category. I think that there is one day in a month when the entrance fee is free.
