You are right, although I enjoyed my time in Georgetown and spent only one afternoon in New Amsterdam, I think that it is a very nice place and I may decide to stay there next time I visit Guyana. Although, I haven’t been there, I heard that Lethem is also very nice.

Beside Georgetown, New Amsterdam is also OK and you may consider going there for a few days. You can stay in Georgetown and then travel to New Amsterdam or even stay few days in the town. My sister spent one week in New Amsterdam and she came back really satisfied.
