cash in tanzania

Do you think I should carry cash in Tanzania? I am supposed to spent 2 months in Moshi that is in north of Tanzania and don’t know actually should I wear cash with me or what. I would carry credit cards –which I use more often but still am afraid of how this way of payment would function in Tanzania so anyway would like to hear some info on carrying cash in Tanzania? Thanks!

I dislike saying this but I only had ugly experiences actually I was robed a few times and it doesn’t matter whether you carry cash or credit cards for both of them can be stolen and used afterwards. And yet again you will be staying at Moshi which is near the border of Kenya and the tourists or strangers attacks here are more frequent than in any other part of Tanzania so what else to say-watch out with that cash around in Tanzania.
