Of course, when you read that kind of excellent things about some place who doesn’t want to go there, right? But, we are not all the same, and not all things are great to everyone. We can see that differences among young and old people. Older people are not fans of crowded places, they like to enjoy, but not listening to loud music and dancing all night J Younger people are just opposite, it’s all about partying all night long! But, Cancun in Mexico is a place for all ages and everyone has fun there whenever they come.

If you are planning to visit Cancun for a vacation, than you should know few things before you decide, because Cancun is a place like no other.

Let’s divide the season in two parts:

•       High season: mid-December to March

•       Low season: May to November

High season

The most popular season in Cancun is Spring when everyone (well, at least teenagers and students) are going there for a spring brake. So, if you don’t mind crowd, maybe little higher prizes and lots of drunken teenagers who are partying all night every night, than that is a perfect time for your vacation.

Low season

In this time of year Cancun is not that crowded although it’s summer. It’s not so popular mostly because of the weather. It’s too hot, rainy and hurricanes are very often.

Maybe you are wondering how Cancun can be more popular in winter days than on summer, when the point of going to Cancun is to enjoy at those wonderful beaches. Well, the explanation is simple. In Mexico there is hardly such a thing as winter, because it stays warm most of the year.

If you want to avoid crowd, it’s best for you to travel during the week, and this goes for both, cars and air planes. Also, mid-morning and late afternoon flights tend to be less crowded, plus you can really avoid commute traffic during this time.

If you are worried about high prices, than for you the best time to go to Cancun is during the low season, when there are fewer visitors and hotels are more willing to lower their prices just to fill empty rooms. The most expensive time to visit is during the high season, when visitors from other parts of the world flee the cold weather. June and July can also see an increase in prices, as many visitors, particularly those from Mexico and Europe, are on school holidays.

And last advice goes for booking your flight. I recommend either booking it as earlier as you can (even one year before would be good) or booking it in the last minute. This way you will avoid crowd and save money.
