The Delphin Palace Hotel on Lara beach in Antalya
Tourism in Turkey is mostly focused on a variety of archaeological and historical sites, but also on newly built seaside resorts along Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. In recent years, this country has become a popular spa and health care tourism destination.
Tourism has transformed Antalya and its surrounding into an international resort. Today, Antalya is called "Turkish Riviera" due to its archaeological and natural beauties still offering all the mysticism of the past. Situated on the Mediterranean coast of southwestern Turkey, surrounded by mountains and therefore closed to the cold northerly winds, it is characterized by the typical Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and moderately warm and rainy winters. Sunshine is guaranteed from April to October but the hottest gets in July and August when it climbs up to 45°C. Thanks to the sea breeze and the northeasterly winds blowing from inland, the area gets some relief from the high temperatures.
Antalya’s location gives an opportunity for daily tours to both nearby tourist areas like Side, Alanya and Termessos as well as longer tours to Pamukkale or Cappadocia.
When sightseeing in Antalya, you should not miss the famous City Walls that date back to Hellenistic era; Hadrian's Gate, ornamental marble arch; Kaleici, an attractive tourist centre with numerous hotels, restaurants, shopping and entertainment facilities; Antalya archaeology Museum; Kesik Minaret; now a mosque converted from a Byzantine Panaglia church, as well as Yivli Minaret, today’s symbol of the city. There are many other mosques to see but also "Han"s, Seljuk or Ottoman inns with their architectural significance.
The Delphin Palace Hotel
The Delphin Palace Hotel is located on Lara beach of Antalya, a green garden among palm trees,15 km away from the city center and 10 km from the Antalya Havalimani Airport. There is no public transport to and from the airport but private taxis are available. Make sure you agree upon the price with the taxi drivers first and then set off.
The Delphin Palace Hotel is ideal for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel offers high standards of comfort and discreet luxury atmosphere.
