If you are looking a perfect place for you honey moon, check out this suggestions below:

  1. Bora Bora:  If you can afford it, it could be the closest you ever get to heaven on Earth.

2.  Kauai:  For a domestic, more affordable alternative to Bora Bora.

3.  Japan:  Chilling out in the middle of nowhere, soaking in hot springs and doing yoga all day.
4.  South Africa:  Just remember that August is winter in the Southern Hemisphere, and dress accordingly.
5.   Napa:  If you just can’t swing a trip to South Africa, Napa surely won’t disappoint.
6.  Acadia National Park:  Best for the nature lover, Acadia is a breathtaking spot.  And summer in Maine is sublime.
7.  Australia:  If you’re more ski bunny than beach bum, take advantage of Australia’s winter to do some skiing.
8.  Bali:  Though not quite as striking as Bora Bora, Bali is a heavenly escape from the stress of the wedding.
9.  Santa Barbara:  Has great beaches, fantastic hotels and even its own wine country.  It’s also just 1 1/2 hours from LA.
10.  Las Vegas:  In case you need any excuses to stay inside…Sure can’t go outside in Vegas in August, but isn’t that half the fun of the honeymoon?

Other places:

USA

  • Alaska
  • Northeastern US
  • State Fairs
  • USA Beaches

TROPICAL DESTINATIONS

  • Aruba
  • Barbados
  • Curaçao
  • Tahiti

BE COOL

  • Canada
  • Iceland
  • South America (ski areas open)

Sure Things

  • Year-round, the weather's just about perfect in Hawaii
  • Somewhere around the world, every month of the year, a cruise ship is sailing some place wonderful.

Beat the Crowds

If you've always dreamed of going on safari in Africa, summertime in the northern hemisphere is winter in that part of the world — and the weather is usually comfortable.

Not the Best Time to Visit

  • Europe is crowded, hot, and many Europeans themselves abandon cities for their own summer vacation (so service can be slow).
  • It's hurricane season in the Caribbean until November 30. The three Caribbean countries listed above are located below the hurricane belt and considered safe destinations.
  • Southern US is swelteringly hot. Only the natives can bear it.
  • School's out, so theme parks and other places that attract families with kids will be crowded.
