I have heard only the best things about Peru, particularly about the remains of great Inca people. One of the first places I am going to visit is the famous Sacred Valley. Can anyone give me any advice regarding the place? Since this is my first time, any information would be very useful to me.

The Sacred Valley is indeed an extraordinary place. It is called also the Urubamba Valley. The largest nearby city is Cuzco. You will find there ancient ruins and mountain slopes. Also, there are scattered farming towns throughout the valley. Even though the organized tours always last for a day, it is probably better to spend at least three or four days, since you will otherwise visit the Pisac Market, but not the ruins of Pisac. Also, ask in the agency you want to book with about the details of the tour, so you could prepare either for a longer organized tour, or for the exploration on your own.
