Windhoek and Swakopmund Recommendations

I am about to have very strange experience, going to Namibia! I am thinking to take rail trip from Windhoek to Swakopmund that people are praising. I honestly think it is a great way to discover this country. But I have one problem, and I think you can already guess that I will be there for the first time, what should I visit and see in these two towns when I get there? Could you recommend something?

Oh, are you trying a safari?! I think Windhoek you will find as a quite interesting town. Seeing German touch (Gothic architecture style among all the others)
in South Africa could be a strange experience for sure, maybe even a bit confusing. Of course being under Germans for some time had influence on the structure of the Swakopmund also, but I think this town has something thats really is a huge plus beach. If you are already cruising Windhoek Swakopmund area, you should not miss to see (take tours): Twyfelfontein, The Spitzkoppe and Brandberg.
