Ever since I was a kid, I was interested in African wildlife and I watched all those documentaries about big game and big cats. Now, I have the opportunity of a lifetime to travel to Africa and go on safari in Tanzania. Can you tell me whats there to see and what tours are best? Do I have to bring some kind of equipment and how long does one tour last? Thanks.

You dont have to bring any special equipment, just a good camera which has a good zoom in order to be able to capture wild animals from a considerable distance. Of course, some adequate clothing is also necessary, for example, light cotton trousers and shirts as well as a hat with a big brim and something for mosquitoes because they can be big nuisance. In Tanzania, there is a famous Serengeti National Park and I suppose that your tour will be organized there. There are several luxurious camps and you can choose your accommodation among them. During the day, guided tours of the surrounding area will be arranged. There are also special night safaris which are, in my opinion, even better, because you can see various animals that do not go out of their habitats during the day.
