I just love skiing. I learned to ski last winter with my friend and ever since then I can’t stop thinking about it. We are going to Colorado in few months and I am looking forward to new slopes, trails and challenges. Why is Aspen Mountain called the athlete mountain?

Aspen Mountain, also called “Ajax”, is known as the athlete mountain because it is not for wimps. Its challenging slopes are not for rookies. You have to have quite a few years of practice and experience to be able to cope with the demanding trails and slopes. On the other hand, if you are experienced and skilled skier, you will enjoy it infinitely.

I suggest you try Buttermilk Mountain. It is a fantastic place to enjoy skiing or snowboarding. There are wonderful accommodation options and the price is good. I enjoyed snowboarding there and I must say that the instructors are good and very skilled. Ajax is for serious skiers who are skilled and have years of good practice behind them. Definitely not for the beginners.
