Hi! Me and my husband are planning to visit our relatives in Canada this November. As a part of surprise we are going to bring them some of our domestic specials, you know cheese, meat, our local nuts But Im not sure can we do that. Will the authorities let us do it? Thanks for your advice.

Hello! You are allow to bring the food in Canada, but as your personal baggage. Youll be careful with food, because there are great deal of it that can be infected or spoiled during the journey. You can, also, bring food as a gift, but its value must not exceed $60 Canadian dollars. And if I remember correctly you can bring in the 1,5l of wine, too.
