Which cities would you suggest seeing in Italy?

I ham still thinking how to surprise my wife for our 5th anniversary. All I know is that our destination will be Europe, since she mentioned that she would like to go there on several occasions in last 6 months. I have been thinking about Paris, but friends told me that Italy could also be very interesting. Which cities would you suggest seeing in Italy?

Almost every big city in Italy is worth seeing. I have been to Rome last year and I had a fantastic time. Rome alone is enough for a two week vacation. As for other cities, I recommend Florence, Venetia and Milan. Perhaps you could book some tour that will visit all the major cities in Italy; that is something I will do next time Im in Italy. Anyway, I wish both f you a great time there and happy anniversary!
