Which Credit Cards Are Available in Japan?

Hi! I am going to Japan and I have some dilemmas about using some services in Japan. I know that it is a highly developed country but in spite of that, it is far from Europe and there are certain differences between the two continents, which the economic similarities cannot always bridge. Which credit cards are available in Japan? Thanks!

Japan is maybe different from the European countries, but these differences are exactly what make it so interesting to us. I traveled to Japan some time ago and I found out how this country is beautiful. I promised myself that I would return at least once more. Now, I must admit that I paid with cash all the time. It was somehow the most secure way of paying and gave me some kind of confidence that I’ll have no problems at the shops. I brought some credit cards, but I didn’t use them. My friend said that he paid with Visa in Japan. Maybe you should try to get Visa credit card before the travel if you already do not possess one.
