Where would you stay in Amsterdam?

Hi, I'll be going to Amsterdam in about three weeks and I was thinking about where I was going to stay. I would like to be able to walk around the city center at any time but at the same time not to spend too much money on accommodation. I'm not sure whether to stay in a hotel or in a hostel. Please tell me where would you stay if you were going to Amsterdam?

Hi, Amsterdam offers a variety of options to choose from. From squats, which are really popular among young people, to the most luxurious hotels everybody can find something that suits them. I would recommend staying in one of the many hostels. Almost all of the hostels in Amsterdam are clean and provide bathrooms. Some of them provide small kitchens where you can prepare something to eat. The prices are more than affordable and many of them are located within the city center. The one I stayed in last year was the Bulldog Hostel in downtown Amsterdam. It was clean and air-conditioned with high security. It only cost me 25 euros per night. I would definitely advise you to book a room in this hostel and do it as soon as possible because sometimes it's full especially in the high-season.
