Where to spend summer in Albania?

Hi! We want to spend summer in Albania but we don't know where. We watched a TV program about Albania and saw that its tourism is flourishing. We saw some sites of Tirana and it really seemed as promising a lot of important historical sites. Albania is situated in the European region that is considered to be one of the oldest. Now we are wondering whether to choose the seaside (since it's summer) or Tirana.

Well, I was in Albania several times (because I live in Bulgaria and had to go to Albania for some business arrangements) and, unfortunately, I'm not particularly impressed with it. I don't know, maybe I had no time to go sightseeing and thus couldn't see the most beautiful sites of the country. I admit that I spent most of the time at the hotel or at some factories which are, honestly, not the most representative side of some town. However, I didn't see much of the seaside area, but I saw something. The beaches are nice, but the infrastructure of the resorts have to be improved in order to attract more tourists.
