Where to go to Thailand?

I am eager to visit Thailand. My friends got married there and spent a wedding trip in Thailand. They told me that they have never been to such a beautiful country. They stayed on the islands, but I am not sure whether I should go to the small islands or stay on the mainland. I would like to make some tours. Where to go to Thailand?

Thailand is a very interesting country. If you go on holiday and plan to spend most of the time lying on the beach, then you can go to the coastal part or the farthest spot of the peninsula. However, the peak holiday season is at the end and I am not sure whether you would have nice weather for such a holiday. If I were you, I would go to Bangkok. It is the capital of Thailand. I mean, I suggest you to stay at some nice Bangkok hotel and then make tours all over the country. You should visit the Gulf of Thailand, make some cruise tours in the Andaman Sea. You should also get acquainted with Thai tradition and culture. There are two main religions: Thai Buddhism and Islam. Their traditional sport is Thai boxing.
