This summer I’m going to Ghana. I just don’t like all those polished countries and I want to see how people live there. Besides I can go to safari and do many adventurous things. I’m going to stay in Accra and I know that Africa has some issues when it comes to crime rates I know that I should be careful where I change my money. Do you have any suggestions about that?
It is true about all those sterile and polished western countries. Sometimes I really want to go somewhere where nature is still unspoiled and where western civilization still has no strong roots. Ghana is a beautiful country and despite that it is comparatively poor it is still one of the countries in Africa where economy is not that devastated. I’d advise you to change your money only in official exchange offices or in banks. I know that somewhere traveler’s checks are accepted. You can exchange the first amount of money at the airport in Accra. The official currency is Ghanaians cedi. Anyway you know yourself that you shouldn’t exchange the money on the street or from dealers.
