Where is tourist office in Timbuktu, Mali?

hello
a couple of friends of mine and I have been planning to take a trip to Timbuktu, Mali in a couple of weeks and we were hoping to get some info on the location of tourist office in Timbuktu. Have anyone been there before or happens to know anything about this? Thanks a lot in advance. bye

Hello,
some friends of mine and I have traveled to Timbuktu last year and we had a really great time there. It was really fantastic experience. There is a tourist office, if I remember correctly, somewhere on the main street, but don't expect much from it. I mean, it is completely useless.

Hi, some friends of mine and I have just returned from our trip to Timbuktu and you are right, the tourist office is total disaster, but it has some charm...You have to go there to get your visa extended and get a Timbuktu stamp so you can show everyone that you visited Timbuktu. It is located on the maid street and you canot miss it. Have a nice time there.
