I’m going to Dakar next week and since I think that I won’t like Senegalese cuisine too much I reckon that since I have heard that there is a great Lebanese restaurant in this city I don’t risk and just go there. Do you happen to know where this restaurant is? Have you tried the food there and what it was like?
I think that you are not right about Senegalese cuisine. It is actually very delicious. If you like fish and seafood then you will have no problem adjusting to this cuisine. Of course there are numerous distinctive aromas and specific spices that give the food a special taste but they are not too extreme. I suppose that you think the people there eat worms and grasshoppers but the most famous dishes are those with fish, vegetables and chicken. As for that Lebanese restaurant I have heard that the best food is in Farid Hotel. You can just say that to the cab driver and you will easily find it. So, I advise you to give a chance to Senegalese cuisine and see if you like it.
